Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu standards, ensuring food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines, including proper food handling techniques
- Assist in menu planning and development as needed
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management
- Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality food service
- Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
- Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within the food industry
- Familiarity with culinary techniques, including meal preparation and catering services
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
