Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in repairing and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery. This role is crucial in ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations.
Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, farm machinery, and diesel engines.

Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.

Conduct inspections on air brake systems and other critical components to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Utilize soldering skills for electrical repairs as necessary.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.

Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.

Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.

Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic, preferably with heavy equipment.

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various machinery types.

Familiarity with automotive repair, including suspension systems and transmission work.

Experience in diesel engine repair is highly desirable.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license may be required based on job duties.
