Job Details:
The Membership Associate will greet members, guests and staff as they enter the gym and will do so with a smile. This position will provide assistance to members' requests, billing issues, membership sales, follow up with leads, cleaning duties and perform various administrative duties as directed by the Gym General Manager. You must be a team player with a good work ethic. You will earn a commission for each membership you sell.
This is not a temporary position and not for students on break.
Responsibilities:
- Enthusiastically greets each members and guests promptly to create a friendly positive entrance and departure to and from the gym.
- Register all guests into the gym using proper registration procedures.
- After checking in guests, learn about them to find out if our gym is a good fit for them then tour guests.
- Present membership prices and sell gym membership agreements.
- Ensures that member appointments are directed to the appropriate fitness coach in a professional manner.
- Answers phone by the third ring in a professional and courteous manner and uses proper phone greeting.
- Addresses caller's requests and/or takes appropriate messages noting caller's name.
- Try to set appointments to tour the club from the telephone inquiries.
- Responds immediately to member requests, inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain neat appearance and wear proper uniform attire while on duty.
- Cleans and maintains the front desk area and assigned cleaning duties according to company standards.
- Follow proper opening and closing procedures as instructed in the training staff handbook.
- Logs all maintenance concerns.
- Notifies management of gym incidents that requires incident reports.
- Works when scheduled and adheres to company attendance policies.
- Performs other reasonable work assignments as directed by the Gym Manager to include but not limited to light cleaning and picking up of weights, filing and more.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent customer service skills are required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally and in writing is required
- Functional computer skills are required.
- Social media experience preferred.

- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays and weekends.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs repeatedly.
- Comply with all Anytime Fitness standards of professionalism.
