Office Manager
A Leg to Stand on Prosthetics and Orthotics is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and experienced Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our growing prosthetic and orthotic practice. We are looking for a motivated professional with strong leadership skills and extensive medical billing experience who is committed to providing exceptional patient service while maintaining efficient office operations.
Position Summary
The Office Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative functions of the practice, coordinating patient services, overseeing medical billing processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–5 years of medical billing experience (required)
- Previous office management or healthcare supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, claim submission, payment posting, denials, and collections
- Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and medical billing software
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations and administrative workflow
- Oversee medical billing and accounts receivable processes
- Monitor insurance claims, denials, aging reports, and collections
- Ensure accurate patient registration, scheduling, and documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, company policies, and accreditation standards
- Assist with inventory management, and vendor coordination
- Develop and implement efficient office procedures
- Address patient concerns professionally and promptly
- Prepare reports and assist leadership with operational goals and performance metrics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a prosthetics, orthotics, durable medical equipment (DME), or specialty medical practice
- Knowledge of ABC Accreditation standards
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements
