Responsibilities
- Provide child supervision and support in multiple classrooms, adapting to different age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Assist with child development activities, implementing age-appropriate curriculum and behavior management strategies
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe and clean environment, following health and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR when neede
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure consistent routines, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and playtime
- Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and report any concerns appropriately
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar early childhood settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development instruction and classroom management techniques
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and early childhood education best practices
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within a classroom environment
