Job Summary
Machine Operators work on machines to produce quality products safely and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:

Learns the operation of the equipment.

Maintains a correct record-keeping system to ensure production efficiency meets company standards

Know the functions and processes for efficient operations.

Performs start-up procedure for equipment

Completes all duties and responsibilities following company safety and environmental policies.

Work with technicians to make small adjustments and understand where things might go wrong

Learn the sounds and mechanics of the machine you are operating
Responsibilities:

Communicate with machine technicians to determine needs.
-
Maintains a safe and clean work area.

Performs other duties as directed.

Keep lots separated and correctly labeled; do not mix lots
-
Follow safety procedures regarding hoists and other potentially hazardous objects
-
Keep an eye on the wastewater and other sources of waste streams to let water treatment know what to clean
Qualifications:
Experience – On-the-job training, some mechanical knowledge preferred
Education – High School diploma or GED
Supervision received – Direct oversight from the Supervisor
Mental and physical demands – attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and vision, good math skills, ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
