4Today Logistics Inc., a growing FedEx Ground contractor, is seeking a dependable, motivated, and professional Operations Coordinator / CDL-A Floater Driver to join our team.

We are looking for an individual who enjoys being involved in the daily success of a transportation operation. The ideal candidate will combine strong driving skills with leadership, communication, problem-solving, and operational support abilities.
This position offers a unique opportunity to play an important role in the day-to-day operation of a growing FedEx Ground business while continuing to utilize your CDL experience.
The successful candidate will assist with route coverage, driver support, fleet coordination, communication with FedEx management, operational planning, and overall transportation support while also serving as a CDL-A floater driver when needed.
What You'll Do
- Cover open linehaul and team runs as needed
- Serve as a CDL-A Floater Driver supporting multiple routes and terminals
- Support daily transportation operations
- Communicate professionally with FedEx management, station personnel, drivers, vendors, and repair facilities
- Assist with driver scheduling and route coverage
- Help coordinate fleet readiness and equipment availability
- Support safety, compliance, and service initiatives
- Assist with onboarding, coaching, and supporting drivers
- Help identify and solve operational challenges before they impact service
- Coordinate maintenance needs and communicate equipment concerns
- Maintain positive working relationships with drivers, coworkers, customers, vendors, and FedEx personnel
- Serve as a dependable operational resource for the team
- Support the operation after hours when necessary to help ensure service success
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Doubles/Triples Endorsement (Required)
- Safe driving record
- Proven experience operating tractor-trailer equipment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Strong understanding of route planning and safe driving practices
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to adapt to changing operational needs
Experience That Will Help You Succeed
- Previous FedEx Ground experience is highly valued
- Current or former experience with a FedEx Ground contractor is highly valued
- Transportation leadership, fleet coordination, dispatch, operations, logistics, or supervisory experience is highly valued
- Experience supporting drivers and daily transportation operations is highly valued
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and communicate equipment concerns is beneficial (this is not a mechanic position)
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus
