We are looking for a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to become part of our dynamic team. AUTEC Car Wash Systems is a manufacturer of automated car wash equipment and peripheral systems. We have an immediate job opening for a Mechanical Engineer.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will research, develop, design, and test mechanical components and equipment.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Analyzes product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
· Determines feasibility of designing equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
· Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
· Works with operations to clarify or resolve problems and develops designs for manufacturing that satisfy the overall intent of the product.
· Prepares layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
· Assigns part numbers for item identification and uploads them into SAP software.
· Creates and maintains bill of material structure and costing with SAP software.
· Compiles and analyzes operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment or product.
· Plans and develop experimental test programs.
· Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
· Confer with research and other engineering personnel and prepare design modifications as required.
· Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to development of systems or other uses.
· Assists with other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
· Bachelor's degree from four-year college; and two - four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Proficient computer skills, E-mail, and Internet communications.
· SolidWorks & CAD experience
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
