This position plays a key role in evaluating new mineral and royalty
acquisition opportunities. You will take information gathered from mineral
owners, identify and research the subject property, analyze ownership and oil
& gas activity, review land and title records, and assemble accurate, complete
files for our Senior Landman and acquisition team.
We are specifically looking for someone with prior Landman experience who
understands mineral ownership, oil & gas title, legal descriptions, county
records, and the research required to accurately evaluate mineral interests.
Duties and Responsibilities
Review mineral owner intake information and identify the property and
mineral interest being evaluated
Locate and map tracts, parcels, and mineral interests
Research county appraisal district, county clerk, courthouse, and other
public records
Utilize Enverus / DrillingInfo and other oil & gas research platforms
Review deeds, assignments, oil & gas leases, memorandums, probate
documents, and other recorded instruments
Research and analyze mineral and royalty ownership
Determine gross acreage and calculate net mineral acreage and
ownership interests
Build runsheets and ownership reports as needed
Calculate Mineral Interest, Working Interest, Net Revenue Interest,
royalty interests, and other ownership interests
Identify title defects, ownership discrepancies, and potential curative
requirements
Assist with title curative when necessary
Identify wells, units, permits, operators, leases, and production
associated with the property
Review legal descriptions, surveys, plats, and GIS mapping
Research leasehold information, royalty burdens, and other relevant
ownership details
Organize supporting documents, maps, records, and research into
complete land files
Prepare files for review and evaluation by our Senior Landman
Perform additional title research and run full mineral title when
required
Communicate findings clearly to our Senior Landman and acquisition
team
Maintain accurate notes and documentation while meeting internal
deadlines
Qualifications
Previous Oil & Gas Landman experience is required. 3+ years of
experience is preferred.
Qualified candidates should have experience with:
Mineral and royalty title
Deed and lease research
County clerk and courthouse records
Legal descriptions and property identification
Oil & gas leases and assignments
Mineral ownership and net mineral acreage calculations
Runsheets and ownership reports
Title defects and curative work
Probate and heirship research
Enverus / DrillingInfo
GIS and mapping systems
Oil & gas well, unit, permit, and production research
Experience running full mineral title is strongly preferred.

Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and online research
systems
Preferred Basin Experience
Experience in one or more major producing basins is preferred, including:
Appalachian Basin
Permian Basin
Haynesville
Bakken
Experience working across multiple oil & gas basins is a plus.

process. Your work helps our team determine exactly what an owner has,
where the interest is located, what oil & gas activity affects the property, and
what additional title work may be necessary before moving forward with an

We are looking for someone who understands land and title, enjoys digging
into ownership and property records, and takes pride in producing accurate,
well-organized work.
Pay: $53,174.68 - $150,000.00 per year
