About the Clinic
Hope Acupuncture & Wellness Center is a woman owned orthopedic and sports-focused clinic serving an active, results-oriented patient population in Tigard.
We specialize in sports injury, pain management, and functional recovery. Our patients expect clarity, progress, and measurable outcomes. Our systems are built to support that standard.
We are adding a Licensed Massage Therapist to work alongside our acupuncturists as part of a coordinated care team. This is clinical massage in a medical environment.
Duties
- Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and Swedish massage.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Educate patients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate treatment options for pain management and relaxation.
- Maintain detailed records of client treatments, progress notes, and health history in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols, including CPR certification requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, preferences, and feedback to enhance their experience.
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education opportunities to provide the highest quality care.
- Reliable and punctual, arrives prepared and honors the posted schedule
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
- Proven experience in massage therapy, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and medical terminology knowledge.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pain management strategies, and occupational health principles.
- Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practices.
- CPR certification is required; additional certifications in sports or med spa environments are a plus.
- Prior experience working in a med spa or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
Compensation and Support
- $50 per hour
