The maintenance manager for Cana is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within the facility, including scheduling repairs, supervising maintenance staff, managing budgets, ensuring equipment upkeep, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize the functionality of buildings and machinery, all while adhering to safety regulations and compliance standards.
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our facilities maintenance operations with energy and precision. In this vital role, you will actively participate and oversee the maintenance team, ensuring the reliable operation of all mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems across our manufacturing site.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing clear direction and motivating staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and reporting tools.
- Oversee the repair and troubleshooting of mechanical systems -specifically wood working (i.e. saws, cope machines, dempter, moulders, vacuum paint machines, paint lines, etc.), HVAC, low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and other industrial machinery.
- Manage projects related to facilities upgrades, equipment installations, and system upgrades with effective project management skills.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by maintaining high standards in electrical work (including working with schematics), electrical experience, and handling high voltage or low voltage systems safely.
- Conduct inspections of facilities using tools such as ohmmeters and ensure all maintenance activities meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and asset management.
- Monitor energy efficiency and environmental compliance related to HVAC systems and other facility operations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, increasing productivity, and enhancing safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in industrial maintenance or facilities management within manufacturing environments (specifically wood working).
- Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with electrical experience, including working with schematics for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage/high voltage electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, schematics interpretation, and safety standards related to electrical work (including high voltage).
- Project management skills to oversee facility upgrades or equipment installations from planning through execution.
- Proficiency in English for clear communication across teams and documentation purposes.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
