Valenti Motors is looking for a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Shipper / Receiver to join our Parts Department. This is a fast-paced position that plays a critical role in keeping our dealerships running efficiently. Position Summary
As our Shipper / Receiver, you will be responsible for managing the daily flow of inbound and outbound parts inventory across multiple dealership buildings. This position requires strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work independently while supporting several departments. Every day is different, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys staying busy and solving problems.
ResponsibilitiesInventory & Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming parts shipments.
- Stock inventory accurately and efficiently.
- Distribute parts to multiple departments and buildings across the Valenti campus.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Organize and maintain clean, safe, and efficient warehouse storage areas.
Shipping & Logistics
- Prepare, package, and ship customer and vendor orders, including freight shipments.
- Process supplier returns, warranty returns, and shipping damage claims.
- Identify creative and cost-effective packaging solutions to help reduce freight expenses.
- Manage all inbound and outbound parts inventory with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Computer & Administrative Duties
- Receipt inventory, process invoices, and maintain inventory records using dealership software.
- Photograph parts for online listings and website uploads.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
Equipment & Driving
- Safely operate a forklift to load and unload delivery trucks.
- Serve as a backup delivery driver when needed, operating vehicles of various sizes.
- Maintain a safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
Teamwork & Leadership
- Assist in coordinating daily warehouse operations.
- Help lead and support a small warehouse team.
- Work closely with the Parts, Service, Sales, and Accounting departments.
- Take direction from management while demonstrating initiative and leadership.
Qualifications
- Exceptional attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent math and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Strong computer skills; inventory or dealership software experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Forklift experience is preferred (training available if needed).
- Automotive parts or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
