Holiday Inn & Suites is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to be our Group Sales Manager for Bloomington, IL. This is a great opportunity for a sales leader with exceptional sales skills, but it is also the springboard to growth opportunities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Understand Hotel operations including room types, meeting capacities, service and feature
· Set sales strategies to achieve overall property goals for both rate and occupancy
· Work closely with Hotel GM & Area DOS to assist in capturing group business in all segments including corporate, SMERF, and transient business
· Proactive solicitation of new business to achieve revenue goals
· Target accounts, markets, or segments with proactive solicitation and account saturation
· Participate in local networking organizations, community, and industry events while representing the Hotel in a professional manner
· Lead by example and empowerment with coaching on regular basis.
· Securing new accounts in the deployed market segment.
· Maintaining existing accounts and developing future business.
Job Requirements
- Must have 1 - 2 years of previous experience as a Hotel Sales at branded hotel with a solid performance track record. i,e Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton or IHG preferred.
- IHG experience and knowledge of IHG operating systems are critical
- Opera PMS knowledge
- Well versed in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
