Salary Range: $20.3914 - $22.4894/hour. Salary reflects Step 1 and Step 3 of a 7-step pay scale. Salary at hiring will be dependent on the applicant's education, experience, and training.

Job Summary:
The Airport Construction Coordinator is responsible for problem solving, customer service, logistical, and operational issues during airport construction; and provides information and assistance to the traveling public. This position must also support various airport departments and supervisors during periods of time when construction coordination is not needed.
Scope of Responsibility:
Incumbents make decisions in accordance with the established Construction Safety Phasing Plan, the Safety Plan Compliance Document, and all applicable regulations. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the airport operates smoothly during construction projects. This includes using strong problem-solving skills to keep passengers oriented, enabling airport tenants to maintain operations, and ensuring continuity across all airport functions while addressing complex issues arising from construction impacts. This role also requires maintaining cooperative working relationships throughout the organization and with all airport stakeholders. Makes non-routine choices within established precedent, considering objectives, under limited supervision, where the positive and negative impact affecting own work may impact airport accessibility for passengers, tenants, and stakeholders. Performs troubleshooting and selects solutions from among proven alternatives.
Work is indoors and outdoors with considerable exposure to the elements. Frequent moderate physical effort involving lifting of 5 - 50 pounds up to a distance of 100 feet is required. Intermittent (less than 15% of the time). Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance frequently. Work requires limited attention to detail or deadlines between 45% and 70% of the time. Work includes frequent exposure to at least one disagreeable element, such as dirt, waste material, odors. There may be intermittent exposure (less than 15% of the time) to intensely disagreeable elements. In some department applications it may be necessary to drive intermittently.
