Hometown Plumbing, Electrical, & HVAC is looking for an experienced accounting professional to lead our day-to-day financial operations. Whether you're an established Controller or a seasoned Bookkeeper ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to talk with you.

- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with the month-end close process.
- Record journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Monitor job costing and profitability reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company accounting policies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Support payroll by ensuring accurate labor and job cost allocations.
- Work closely with operational leaders to provide financial insight and improve business performance.
- Coordinate with the Divisional Controller on monthly reporting, audits, tax preparation, and other accounting initiatives.
- Continuously look for ways to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
- 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience.
- Experience managing the full accounting cycle.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks; ServiceTitan experience is a strong plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
- Experience in the home services, construction, or skilled trades industry is preferred.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent experience will be considered.
