As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing high-quality physical therapy services in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for residents
Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify treatment goals and objectives
Implement treatment plans, including exercises, modalities, and other interventions, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
Monitor and document resident progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and communication with families and physicians
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and outcomes
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Requirements:
1+ year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a long-term care setting
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Possess a current PTA license in the state of Missouri
Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents with varying weights and physical abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying priorities and deadlines
