Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chop Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating chop saws and related machinery to accurately cut and prepare materials for fabrication and assembly. Your expertise will ensure precision, safety, and efficiency in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing operations within a dynamic facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate chop saws and other cutting equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and stamping presses to process various materials according to specifications.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to determine cutting requirements.
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure material dimensions meet quality standards.
- Set up and adjust machinery including press brake machines, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming, and Fanuc controls for optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime, ensuring adherence to safety standards in production environments.
- Handle materials safely using warehouse experience, materials handling techniques, hand tools, and tooling equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, quality checks, and machine maintenance activities.
Skills
- Experience with fabrication processes including welding, assembly line work, stamping press operation, and packaging.
- Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and micrometer gauges for quality control.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brakes, and stamping presses.
- Familiarity with factory safety standards and best practices for manufacturing environments.
- Basic math skills necessary for measuring and calculating material dimensions accurately.
- Experience working in manufacturing facilities with a focus on machining, fabrication, or assembly is highly desirable.
