Pay & Compensation
- Guaranteed Weekly Pay: $1,634 (must work 5 days and a minimum of 10 hours per day)
- Average Annual Earnings: $85,000–$100,000
- $0.68–$0.74 CPM (based on experience)
- Stop Pay: $28.50–$30.00 per stop
- New York City Stop Pay: $62.50 per load
- Detention Pay: $15.00 per hour
- Truck Move Pay: $50.00
- Holiday Pay: $280.00 per day
- Weekly direct deposit
Position Details
- Full-time local position
- Home daily
- Tuesday–Saturday schedule
- Start times between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM
- Two mandatory 6th workdays per month
- Additional mandatory workdays around major holidays
- Average 1,409 miles per week
- Approximately 10 loads per week
- Average 16 stops per week
- Mostly no-touch freight
- Slip-seat operation
- Automatic and manual day cabs
Where You'll Run
- Deliver fresh and frozen groceries to supermarkets and distribution centers
- Operate within a 250-mile radius of Middletown, NY
- Routes throughout the Hudson Valley, Long Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey
- NYC deliveries begin after required account training and experience
- Drivers typically complete 2 loads per day or 1 longer route
Equipment
- Day cab tractors
- 48', 51', and 53' refrigerated trailers
- Automatic and manual transmissions
- Uniforms provided and maintained by the company
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records
- Assist customers when necessary
- Pick up return product and backhauls
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Communicate with dispatch throughout each shift
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of CDL-A driving experience
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Must have reliable personal transportation to and from work
- Strong customer service skills
