Job Description: Little Rock clinic is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our Gastroenterology team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional and compassionate care to patients in the field of gastroenterology, including conducting examinations, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans. You will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management and contribute to the clinic and organization’s success.
Job Duties
Perform relevant patient evaluations and assessments; including monitoring and ordering medications.
Diagnose and treat patients with common acute and chronic GI conditions.
Order appropriate laboratory, diagnostic, and radiographic tests, and interpret results.
Promote preventive care and health maintenance through formal and individual counseling.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to implement the patient’s plan of care.
Maintain accurate, timely, and appropriate electronic health records.
Perform within the scope of practice prescribed by licensure and certification.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree/Education: Masters degree in nursing as Nurse Practitioner or master’s in nursing with completion of a post-master’s Nurse Practitioner Certification Program required.
Certifications and Licensure:
Registered Nurse (RN) State Licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) by Arkansas
Board of Nursing required.
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse- Nurse Practitioner (APRN-NP) by Arkansas Board
of Nursing required.
Licensure must be current, full, active, and unrestricted licenses with prescriptive
authority.
Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association required.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year postgrad in Family Medicine or Gastroenterology.
Bilingual preferred
Previous experience in gastroenterology preferred
ACLS and PALS certification preferred
