EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN

ServiceStar is currently seeking to fill an open Repair Technician position. This is an outstanding opportunity for motivated and talented applicants! As a Repair Technician, You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a broad range of commercial floor cleaning equipment at our Mobile, AL, and/or different customer locations. For this particular position you must possess a positive attitude, superb verbal and written communication skills, great customer service skills. You must also be able to communicate well over the phone and be able to work independently without constant supervision. Basic computer and technology skills. On occasion, overnight trips may be needed.
We’re looking for exceptional people with the following skills:
- Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of electrical systems (DC/AC), small engine repair, hydraulics, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
- Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
- Ability to lift 80+ lbs.
- Quick learner
Required Skills and Competencies
- Any mechanical repair experience qualifies - Janitorial equipment repair experience not needed!
- Troubleshooting and repair skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand and fill out service-related documents and paperwork.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic tool inventory. We will provide any specialty tools that are needed.
- Clean driving record
- Quick learner
- Ability to pull a trailer, loaded with equipment, behind a work van/truck
Education Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
