Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity is for a highly motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) holding active licensure to support students across multiple grade levels in a school setting. The role focuses on providing specialized assistance to students primarily in grades Pre-K through 5, with caseloads consisting mainly of mild to moderate articulation and language needs. Services are delivered through both pull-out and push-in models within general education classrooms, allowing for collaborative and inclusive intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support speech-language services for approximately 50 students with mild to moderate articulation and language challenges.
- Deliver individualized and group interventions aligned with established treatment plans.
- Work closely with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other educational staff to integrate speech therapy within the general education environment.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with educational and licensure standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and school personnel to support student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active SLPA licensure required.
- Experience supporting students in grades K-5 preferred.
- Knowledge of mild to moderate articulation and language impairments.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a school setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Location and Schedule:
- Based in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
- Full-time hours: 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., including a 30-minute lunch break.
