American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab travel position in Frisco, TX, requiring a minimum of 3 years of Cath Lab experience and on-call availability including weekends.

Work setting is a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab with two cath labs and a smaller, boutique-style department environment

Procedures performed include cardiac caths, TEE/CVNs, pacemaker implants, PVS, EP ablations, PE/DVT thrombectomies, and Lexiscan injections for nuclear medicine stress tests

Equipment used includes Philips, GE, Pyxis, and MacLab

EMR system is Meditech

Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
-
On-call requirement of 11–13 days per month, including 2 weekends per month

On-call coverage for 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday required

13-week contract

Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of start)

Minimum of 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required

Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently

US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required (candidates from Florida or Missouri must provide two)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

MacLab monitoring experience is preferred but not required — training is available

Circulating EP procedures experience is preferred but not required — training is available

The department operates with a small team; day shift is staffed with 2 RNs, 3 FT Techs, 2 PRN Techs, and 1 Shared RN; night shift runs a 3-person on-call team

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
