EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The fourth level in the Library Series. Incumbent assists Director with Library operations. Responsibilities may include supervising staff; analyzing requests for information from the public and staff; and presenting information sessions on library programs.
Specifically, as the Library Manager you will...
- Supervises staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.

Communicates with local media on library matters, including attending City budget and library system meetings as required.

Analyzes requests for information/assistance from public and staff about web resources and digital collections.

Develops, plans, coordinates and evaluates publicity for programs, services and resources
-
Presents workshops, classes, and other presentations on library services to the public library system and the general public.

Represents library at external meetings.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
