Our office is looking for a reliable and efficient second dental assistant for our office in Roland Park. We are focus on quality patient care, and therefore, we want someone who has a friendly upbeat attitude, and practices good customer service. Every office is different so we want someone who is reasonably quick learner and possesses a “can do” disposition. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday from 7:00AM-4:00PM.
We are a privately owned, non-corporate office.
REQUIREMENT: Active Maryland Dental Radiology Technologist license
Desired Qualifications:
· 1 or more years assisting general dentist preferred but we will consider new grads
· Be able to take accurate digital BWs, PAs, FMXs, and Panorex x-rays
· Familiarity/proficiency with SoftDent
· Has a level of comfort doing front desk duties (i.e. insurance verifications, calling/scheduling patients, etc.)
· Expanded Functions Certification ideal and/or cross trained for front and back duties
General Duties:
· Greeting, speaking, and seating patients to get them ready
· Assisting dentist chairside effectively during a variety of procedures
· Take digital x-rays efficiently and accurately
· Breakdown and set up rooms
· Call and schedule patients on SoftDent as needed
· Answer phone calls as needed & confirm patients for their appointments
· Verify dental insurances online or by phone
· Stock operatories
· Keep practice clean and orderly

Hourly rate will be based on experience, qualifications, and performance during working interview(s) and 90 day trial period.
