Position Objective
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for organizing, developing, and directing speech therapy services in accordance with the standards and practice of speech therapy, state and federal regulations, and Alomere Health’s policies and procedures. The Speech Therapist will provide high quality care, excellent customer service, fiscal responsibility, and maintain regulatory compliance at all times.
Essential Responsibilities
The following description of responsibilities to be performed is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished.
- Communicate with referring provider(s) regarding patient progress and needs
- Coordinate care with other professionals as needed to maximize patient outcomes
- Act as a resource to area therapists regarding progression of facility provided protocols
- Utilize professional verbal, nonverbal, and written communication with patients, families, colleagues, and others
- Involve the patient and family as appropriate in discussion and development of care, expected outcomes, and creation of patient specific goals
- Safe, reliable, and efficient performance of appropriate speech therapy procedures to evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan
- Adequate utilization of the electronic medical record including thorough research and retrieval of pertinent medical information
- Complete accurate and timely therapy documentation and billing
Other Responsibilities
- Perform all other related duties as assigned in a professional and responsive manner
- Demonstrate the ability to use relevant equipment

- Ability to meet the work schedule requirements with flexibility dependent upon the needs of the department
