Duties
- Lead and supervise a crew of landscapers to complete landscape installations, plantings, and construction projects efficiently and to high standards
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely project completion
- Oversee landscape installation, pruning, planting, irrigation system setup and maintenance, and tree care activities
- Applicants should possess the ability to identify plant types, corrective pruning and caring practices.
- Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment
- Conduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members on landscaping techniques, equipment operation, horticulture practices, and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project updates or concerns when necessary
- Maintain equipment and tools through regular inspections and proper maintenance to maximize longevity and performance
- Experience driving trucks and experience operating applicable landscape equipment.
- Snow Removal experience a plus.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping projects, or horticulture roles with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Supervising or leadership experience managing teams in outdoor or construction settings
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair is desirable
- Familiarity with tree care practices and gardening techniques
- Ability to operate landscaping machinery and tools safely and efficiently
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and foster a collaborative work environment
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating tasks and ensuring safety compliance
- A proactive attitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
