Summary:
This position will be responsible for maintaining the general condition of the campus with regards to all aspects of basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and painting tasks. Complete maintenance request work orders from Director of Engineering in a timely manner. Participate in the preventive maintenance program for all building equipment. Complete other special task assigned periodically by the Director of Engineering. This position requires consistent adherence to policies and procedures of the department as outlined in Lynn University standard operating procedures and the engineering department standard operating procedures.
Job Description:
Essential duties and responsibilities
Perform hardware work; repair or replacement of, door, lever, blinds, drawers,cylinder, minor carpentry if needed, ect.
Perform minor electrical work orders if needed: replace outlets, reset breakers, replace ballasts,use test equipment: voltage tester, amp meter ect.
Perform minor plumbing work orders: unclog drain lines, repair or replace valves, replace gasket, valves, vacuum breaker.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 100 lbs.
Able to communicate with employee, managers, subordinate, residence and guest through verbal communication, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
