Job Summary
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing all hotel deliveries and inventory in an organized, accurate, and timely manner. This role supports hotel operations by ensuring all goods received meet quality standards, purchase order specifications, and proper inventory procedures, in addition to operating our procurement system to receive purchase orders. The Receiving Clerk maintains a clean and safe receiving area while working closely with all departments to support operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
- Ensure all received products meet hotel quality standards and specifications.
- Accurately record deliveries and update inventory logs and receiving documentation.
- Organize and store inventory in designated storage areas following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.-
- Communicate discrepancies, damaged goods, shortages, or incorrect deliveries to management and vendors promptly.
- Assist with inventory counts, audits, and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in receiving and storage areas.
- Coordinate delivery distribution to various hotel departments in a timely manner.
- Ensure all food and beverage products are stored according to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with processing returns and vendor credits when necessary.
- Operate equipment safely.
- Monitor inventory supply levels and notify management of low stock items.
- Maintain professional communication with vendors, drivers, and hotel associates.-

- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous receiving, warehouse, inventory, or hotel storeroom experience preferred.
- Hospitality or hotel experience strongly preferred.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of inventory systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays as needed.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
