Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform patient assessments and record medical history
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment
Requirements:
- Certification or licensure as a Dental Assistant
- Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for dental prosthetics
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- Knowledge of medical coding for insurance billing purposes
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Ability to perform aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
