For Local Candidates pay rate: $42/hr to $44/hr (If your permanent address is within 75 miles from the facility)
For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50 miles radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $54.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $2160.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $17.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $680.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1480.00

For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $56.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate: $2240.00
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join a fast-paced care team in Saranac Lake, New York. This position offers the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative hospital environment.
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a travel assignment. This position is ideal for candidates with broad operating room experience, particularly in vascular and orthopedic procedures, who are comfortable taking call and working in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Shift
- Varying 10-hour day shifts
- Monday–Friday
- 40 hours per week
- Participation in the on-call schedule for urgent and emergent surgical cases is required
Requirements
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Surgical Technologist experience
- Strong vascular surgery experience required
- Orthopedic surgery experience required
- Broad operating room experience across multiple specialties preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures
- Set up, organize, and handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Anticipate the surgeon's needs during procedures
- Assist with vascular, orthopedic, and other surgical specialties
- Maintain strict sterile technique and patient safety standards
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, registered nurses, and the surgical team to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in the facility's on-call rotation for after-hours surgical cases
