The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit association dedicated to advancing the education of strength and conditioning and sport science professions globally.

As Marketing Coordinator, you’ll be part of an active and unique environment, working on initiatives that advance the NSCA’s mission. This position will help in the planning, execution, and coordination of NSCA marketing campaigns and activities. This position will support the marketing department through campaign coordination, stakeholder support, and assigned channel responsibilities. Priorities and responsibilities may be adjusted based on organizational needs and the selected candidate’s experience and strengths.
Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across organizational programs, events, products, audiences, and communication channels.
- Assist with the alignment of marketing objectives, audiences, and deliverables.
- Identify competing marketing priorities, audience overlap, and opportunities for coordinated promotion.
- Support campaign measurement by creating and maintaining UTM-tracked links, documenting campaign naming conventions, and coordinating consistent tracking across marketing channels.
- Apply established marketing best practices related to campaign timing, channel selection, launch readiness, targeting, and calls to action.
- Attend stakeholder meetings and help brainstorm marketing initiatives.
- Help document decisions, requirements, deadlines, and action items.
- Support Jira workflows under the guidance of the Marketing Project Manager.
- Update tasks with relevant project information, added requests or changes, decisions, and stakeholder requirements.
- Coordinate marketing ads, promotional posts, and other placements within the NSCA Member Network.
- Schedule assigned ads and coordinate posts with designated team members based on the marketing calendar.
- Verify that placements are accurate, timely, and aligned with broader campaigns.
- Monitor available engagement information and share relevant observations with the marketing team.
- Help with existing and new paid digital ad campaigns, assisting with setup, scheduling, monitoring, budget tracking, and basic reporting.
- Coordinate availability and communication with on-camera talent, internal stakeholders, production staff, and external partners as assigned.
- Provide additional marketing support as needed to help achieve department goals.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, PR, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience:
- Two or more years of experience in marketing, communications, PR, campaign coordination, project coordination, advertising, or a related role.
- Experience coordinating projects involving multiple internal stakeholders.
- Experience using project management, marketing management, or workflow platforms required; Jira experience preferred.
- Experience supporting marketing activities within an association, nonprofit, membership organization, or other multifaceted organization preferred.
- Experience supporting digital paid ads is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of modern marketing principles and campaign best practices.
- Competence with standard business and marketing software and platforms.
- Excellent organizational, campaign coordination, and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with internal stakeholders across multiple departments and levels of marketing knowledge.
- Sound judgment regarding when to act independently and when to elevate a question or concern.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Normal demands associated with an office environment and standard office equipment. Ability to work on a computer for long periods and the ability to lift 20 lbs.
