Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Classic Car Restorer and mechanic to join our team. The role involves restoring vintage and classic automobiles to their original condition, or build modern and customized .Our shop works on anything from early hot rods, restorations, resto-mods, trucks and four wheel drives The ideal candidate will combine mechanical expertise with meticulous attention to detail, and with high quality of craftmanship.
Duties
- Vehicle Inspection & Evaluation – Assess the condition of the car, identify damage, and plan to repair issues.
- Mechanical Repairs – install engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other critical systems
- Electrical & Wiring Work – Inspect and repair electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and lighting . Must have ability to wire a complete vehicle.
- Fabrication- modify or build parts when needed. Ability to weld
- Parts Sourcing & Installation – Source authentic or period-correct parts, and install them correct
Skills and traits needed:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on dexterity
- Ability to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Patience and time management for long-term projects
- Ability to tear down and assemble, organized and efficiently
- Engine swaps (LS and Coyote)
- Handle multiple projects at a time while keeping a high attention to detail
- Be able to provide your own tools and toolbox for basic day-to-day work and repairs.
- Strong understanding of powertrain systems and automotive electrical systems.
- Must be able to work delicately around finished products. This applies not only to final assembly of full builds but also to finished vehicles we service.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive service are a plus.
