Our community-based healthcare clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to provide back-office support across multiple specialty and primary care departments. This role offers a unique opportunity to rotate between various clinical units, including Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, Optometry, and other specialty services, while providing high-quality patient care and supporting providers in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient-focused, and comfortable working with diverse populations and clinical specialties.

Room patients and prepare them for examinations and treatments

Obtain and document vital signs, chief complaints, medical histories, and medication information

Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient care activities

Administer injections, perform point-of-care testing, and collect specimens as permitted by clinic policy and state regulations

Prepare exam rooms and ensure clinical areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked

Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Assist with patient flow and coordination of care between departments

Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions

Maintain infection control and safety standards

Support clinic operations by rotating between assigned departments based on staffing and patient care needs

High school diploma or equivalent required

Medical Assistant certification preferred

Minimum one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience preferred

Experience in a community health center, family practice, pediatrics, behavioral health, or multi-specialty clinic is a plus

Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures

Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Flexible and adaptable to changing clinical assignments

Bilingual skills highly desired

Experience with pediatric and adult patient populations

Current BLS/CPR certification
