OB/GYN Physician (MD/DO)

Compensation: $150–$200 per hour, based on experience
Job Summary
Vital Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled OB/GYN Physician (MD/DO) to join our growing women's health practice in Los Angeles. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who is passionate about providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care while serving as a clinical leader within our practice.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality outpatient OB/GYN services, manage prenatal and postpartum patients, perform in-office gynecologic procedures, and provide physician oversight and collaboration for our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in accordance with California regulations. The physician will utilize the Office Ally Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to document patient care accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for patients of all ages.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of gynecologic and obstetric conditions.
- Manage routine and high-risk prenatal care, postpartum care, and gynecologic follow-up visits.
- Perform annual well-woman examinations and preventive screenings.
- Educate patients on reproductive health, contraception, fertility, pregnancy, menopause management, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform in-office procedures, including but not limited to:
- Colposcopy
- Endometrial biopsy
- IUD insertion and removal
- Nexplanon insertion and removal
- Cervical biopsies
- Review laboratory and diagnostic imaging results and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with medical assistants, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to ensure exceptional patient care.
- Provide physician oversight, consultation, and collaboration for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as required by California law and clinic policies.
- Maintain complete and timely documentation using the Office Ally EMR system.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocol development.
QualificationsRequired
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Active California Medical License.
- Current DEA Registration.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based medicine.
Preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Experience with Office Ally EMR.
- Experience supervising or collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and PAs).
- Experience performing outpatient gynecologic procedures.
- Medicare and Medi-Cal enrollment preferred.
