Role Overview:
As a Commercial Mechanical Service Journeyman at JS3, you will be responsible for providing high-quality service in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our team to ensure the reliability, integrity, and service we promise to our customers are consistently delivered. JS3 works on many systems including Boilers, RTU's, Chillers, MAU's, Water/Air Source Heat Pumps, Cooling Towers, Air Handlers, Pumps, Furnaces and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose and perform equipment repairs and replacements

Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems

Collaborate with the team to ensure service quality

Respond to service requests and emergency situations promptly

Customer Service - Communicate and maintain service excellence.
Qualifications:
You're a great fit if you have the following skills.
- Certification as an HVAC Service Technician

5+ years proven experience in diagnosing and repairing Commercial HVAC systems

Excellent communication and customer service skills
-
Ability to work independently and in a team

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

EPA Section 608 certification
Bonus If You:
- Possess knowledge of smart HVAC technology

Have other certifications including, but not limited to, LME, LE/B, 06A, 06B or boiler – Class 1 or greater.

Proven experience in commercial mechanical systems including boilers, VRF and chillers.

Background in engineering, plumbing or construction
Employment Type, Location & Availability:
Office is located in Portland with majority of workday traveling to job site locations in a travel radius of central-valley Oregon to SW Washington. Full Time, available Monday through Friday with some overtime and on call rotations on weekends. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs regularly, safely use ladders, handle heights and work in tight spaces.
