Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Follow strict safety protocols related to chemical handling and manual handling to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces using approved chemical agents in accordance with healthcare infection prevention guidelines.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
- Use cleaning equipment properly and perform routine maintenance checks on tools to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist with environmental services tasks including restocking supplies, and ensuring all areas meet sanitation requirements for health and safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and chemical handling procedures is essential for safe work practices.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward staff and visitors.
- Ability to follow detailed safety procedures related to chemical agents and manual handling tasks effectively.
