Job Summary
A dry cleaner's front desk job involves providing excellent customer service, handling garment drop-offs and pick-ups, processing transactions, and ensuring the store is clean and organized.
Duties
Customer Service & Interaction:
- Greet customers: Provide a welcoming and friendly experience.
Garment Handling & Processing:
- Receive and inspect garments: Check for defects, stains, and special instructions.
- Tag and label garments: Prepare garments for cleaning and track them through the process.
- Process incoming and outgoing orders: Handle drop-offs and pick-ups efficiently.
- Assemble orders after cleaning: Prepare garments for customer pickup.
Cash Handling & Transactions:
- Process payments: Accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
- Compute sales prices and totals: Calculate accurate charges for cleaning services.
- Create invoices and receipts: Provide customers with clear and accurate records of transactions.
Store Maintenance & Operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace: Keep the front counter and store area tidy.
- Assist with other tasks: Help with stocking, sorting, or other duties as needed.
- Follow company policies and procedures: Adhere to established guidelines for customer service and operations.
- Answer questions: Address customer inquiries about services, pricing, and cleaning processes.
- Handle inquiries and resolve issues: Address customer concerns and find solutions.
- Provide excellent customer service: Ensure customer satisfaction and build positive relationships.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dry cleaning company is required.
- Excellent customer service skills to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform duties that may require lifting or moving items.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new things.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
