Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Present menus confidently, highlighting specials and upselling premium wine, spirits, and menu items to enhance the dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
- Provide expert wine knowledge and cocktail experience to assist guests in selecting beverages that complement their meals
- Manage guest inquiries promptly, resolve issues effectively, and foster positive guest relations throughout the dining experience
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations in a fine dining environment
Qualifications
- Proven restaurant experience in fine dining or upscale food service environments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems for reservations management
- Excellent customer service skills with an energetic, positive attitude
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred; spirits experience and wine knowledge highly valued
- Experience with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques and sales transaction processing
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a fine dining setting
