The Records Management Clerk is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and protecting the school division's official records. This position ensures that student, employee, and administrative records are accurate, confidential, and easily accessible to authorized personnel. The Records Management Clerk also helps ensure compliance with state and federal recordkeeping requirements while providing excellent customer service to schools, staff, parents, and the public.
Essential Responsibilities
- Organize, file, scan, and maintain paper and electronic records.
- Retrieve records when requested by authorized staff and agencies.
- Maintain confidential student and employee information.
- Process student record requests, transcripts, and record transfers.
- Ensure records are stored and disposed of according to established retention
- Maintain accurate filing systems and databases.
- Assist schools and departments with records management procedures.
- Respond to record requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate standard office equipment, including computers, scanners, copiers, and printers.
- Perform general clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Office or clerical experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
Pay: $17.72 - $21.56 per hour
