Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Phlebotomist to join our team on a full-time basis to work Mondays 9am-6pm, Tuesdays 9am-4:30pm, Wednesdays 9am-5pm, Thursdays 9am-4:30pm and Fridays 9am-4pm. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both clinical support and blood collection procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment.
Certified Medical Assistant Duties
- Prepare patients for examinations, including taking and recording vital signs into the EHR
- Update and maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems
- Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as EKGs, urine testing, and basic lab procedures
- Clean and sterilize instruments and exam rooms
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures, medications, and follow-up care
Phlebotomy Duties
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections safely and accurately
- Label, process, and prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory
- Ensure proper patient identification and follow all specimen handling protocols
- Maintain phlebotomy equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards
- Provide a calm and professional experience for patients during blood draws
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant certification required
- Certified Phlebotomist certification required
- At least 2 yearsof clinical experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent patient care and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
