Duties
- Safely operate box trucks with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver goods promptly to customers’ locations while providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns professionally
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure optimal safety and maintenance standards are met
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts for record-keeping purposes
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock, and organizing shipments as needed
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate routes, report issues, and ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services with a focus on route driving efficiency
- Strong customer service skills to foster positive interactions with clients during deliveries
- Warehouse experience including loading/unloading cargo, heavy lifting, and equipment operation such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Knowledge of commercial driving practices specific to box trucks and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving moving heavy items safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving loads, and vehicle operation
- Excellent driving record with experience operating a <PERSON> driver vehicle in various conditions
