Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Asset Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of real estate assets. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maximizing property value, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and fostering positive relationships with tenants, and vendors. Your expertise in property management tools, administrative processes, and customer service will drive operational excellence and sustainable growth across our property portfolio. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of multiple properties, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
- Utilize property management software, occupancy rates, and maintenance schedules.
- Manage lease or rental agreement processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws.
- Coordinate property maintenance activities and facilities management to ensure optimal condition of assets.
- Conduct regular property inspections, analyze data entries, and maintain detailed filing systems for legal documents and contracts.
- Lead a team of property staff by providing guidance on conflict management, customer service excellence, and operational procedures.
- Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving strategies aligned with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements and other funding sources like Section 8 programs.
- Communicate effectively with clients through professional client communication practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including Fair Housing laws, Section 8 guidelines, and local building codes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or administrative roles.
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, and contracts management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry, reporting, and correspondence.
- Experience in budgeting and property maintenance operations.
- Office experience within a property management company or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as filing and document tracking.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of client communication and service delivery.
