JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant delivers orthopedic medical care to a wide variety of patients in our Pain Management Physician Group. This position will be responsible for caring for patients, maintaining accurate and current patient records and administering follow-up appointments to patients as required. The successful candidate will work as a team with the physician and the medical staff to deliver premium care to each and every patient. Experience treating various orthopedic cases is highly desired.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of experience in a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Role
- Experience working with orthopedic patients in a clinical setting desired
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or PA Program.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Eligible for hospital privileges if required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Functions independently performing initial and existing patient exams and screening evaluations
- Assesses patient health by obtaining and reviewing medical histories, performing physical examinations and evaluations
- Determines appropriate diagnostic tests, as well as prescribing and interpreting such tests
- Document patient care services by dictating notes and charting diagnoses and fees in patient records
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Consult and coordinate with the practice physicians to delivery timely, efficient, and professional care to the patients
- Utilize our EMR system to input patient data to ensure accuracy of patient information, records, and billing
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
- Clinical duties; assist with seeing patients 5 days a week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
