Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage table settings, clear dishes, and assist with bussing to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting food safety and sanitation protocols
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and dietary restrictions to assist guests effectively
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing procedures
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Excellent communication skills to engage guests confidently and professionally
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Wine & Steak Knowledge is a plus but not necessary.
