Duties
- Develop and implement engaging Spanish language curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to diverse student needs.
- Adapt lessons based on individual learning styles, including modifications for students with disabilities or special education needs.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Assess student performance regularly through formative and summative evaluations, analyzing data to inform instructional decisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional strategies to ensure consistency and high-quality education.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Incorporate literacy education, math integration, music elements, and culturally relevant content into lessons to enrich student engagement.
- Support standardized testing preparation and tutoring sessions to boost student confidence and performance.
- Maintain compliance with educational regulations while creating a nurturing space that promotes childhood development and love for learning.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in applicable field of study/education from an accredited college or university
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the teaching and learning process and expertise in specific content area
- Classroom teaching experience
- Demonstrated experience working with challenge groups in a standards-based environment, including utilizing assessments to place students, flexible pacing, flexible instruction, grouping and regrouping, acceleration, enrichment, and independent study to meet student needs
- Demonstrated success in effectively solving challenging problems through a positive, collaborative approach
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with students, parents, administrators, colleagues, community, and other school community staff
- A strong sense of personal accountability for student achievement.
Compensation: Competitive Salary and benefits package is offered to all candidates.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
