We are seeking a dynamic and proactive A&P Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of maintaining our aircrafts. Position Summary:
The Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic / Maintenance Controller is responsible for maintaining aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role includes conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, completing documentation, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and supporting the operational readiness of the fleet under Part 135 operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs in accordance with applicable technical data, FAA regulations, and company procedures.
- Complete and maintain all required maintenance documentation, including On-the-Job Training (OJT) forms.
- Accurately fill out all paperwork associated with maintenance activities.
- Participate in training and remain current with required certifications and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Ensure proper accountability and care of tools and equipment.
- Perform maintenance duties in accordance with Part 135 operational procedures.
- Carry out other duties as assigned or directed by management.
Work Schedule and Classification
This position is classified as exempt which means it is not eligible for overtime pay. As an exempt employee, you are expected to manage your time effectively to meet the responsibilities of your role.
While the standard work week is 40 hours, this position may occasionally require additional hours including evenings or weekends to fulfill business needs. Flexibility and a commitment to meeting deadlines and supporting the team are essential.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Airframe & Powerplant Certificate under 14 CFR Part 65.
- Experience with Turbo Prop and Mid-sized Turbojet preferred
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, particularly Part 65 and Part 135
- Proficiency in interpreting maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical data.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft systems.
Attention to Detail
- Accurate completion of maintenance records, inspections, and documentation.
- Careful adherence to safety protocols and compliance standards.
- Vigilant in ensuring tool control and inventory accountability.
Time Management
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently during routine and time-sensitive maintenance.
- Manages workload to meet operational and flight schedules.
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Works effectively with maintenance crew, flight operations, and management.
- Willing to assist and support other team members during inspections or projects.
- Diagnoses complex mechanical issues and develops safe, efficient solutions.
- Makes sound decisions based on technical data and operational context.
Communication
Clear, timely, and professional communication with leadership and team members.
Ability to document work and communicate technical issues effectively.
Occasional Travel is required
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
