Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Location: Montgomery County, Prince George’s County (PG), and Charles County, MD & DC
Job Type: Part-Time, Contractor (Flexible Settings: Home, School, Community)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide leadership and deliver high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities.
The BCBA will be responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments (FBA), developing behavior intervention plans (BIP), supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and ensuring compliance with BACB standards, state regulations, and insurance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Support Planning
· Conduct functional behavior and skills assessments across home, school, and community environments
· Develop, implement, and adapt individualized behavior support plans and skill-building programs
· Apply evidence-based ABA strategies to promote positive behavior, daily living skills, and meaningful participation in everyday routines.
Data Analysis & Outcomes
- Analyze behavioral data to monitor client progress and treatment effectiveness
- Adjust treatment plans based on data-driven decision-making
- Ensure generalization and maintenance of learned skills across environments
Supervision & Staff Development
- Provide supervision, training, and mentorship to RBTs and behavior technicians
- Ensure compliance with BACB supervision requirements
- Review session documentation and provide performance feedback
Caregiver & Team Collaboration
- Train caregivers and families on implementing behavioral strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (educators, therapists, medical providers)
- Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and treatment planning
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (session notes, reports, treatment updates)
- Ensure compliance with BACB, HIPAA, state regulations, and payer requirements
- Support quality assurance initiatives and internal audits
Required Qualifications
Education
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
Certification & Licensure
- Active Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification (BACB)
- Current or eligible for state licensure in Maryland (or DC/VA as applicable)
Experience
- 1–3+ years of experience providing ABA therapy to individuals with ASD or developmental disabilities
- Experience supervising RBTs or behavior technicians preferred
Core Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and behavioral interventions
- Expertise in data collection, analysis, and treatment modification
- Leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Experience with electronic data systems (e.g., CentralReach, Catalyst, Rethink) preferred
Work Environment
- Service delivery across clinic, home, school, and community settings
- Travel required within Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Charles Counties
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and actively participate in sessions
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as needed
- Ability to respond safely and effectively during behavioral interventions

- Maintain active BCBA certification and continuing education
- Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards
- Follow all organizational and state clinical policies
- Uphold ethical standards aligned with the BACB Code of Ethics
