Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Handle cashing out customers, managing cash handling procedures, and balancing registers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and customer spaces
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and serving to ensure quality and efficiency
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
- Uphold excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience in café or food service environments preferred; barista experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems like Clover POS or Toast POS for retail sales transactions and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
- Food industry experience including serving, food preparation, or café experience is highly desirable
