Duties
- Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes, dietary guidelines, and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist with menu planning and distributing food to classrooms
- Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Participate in food handling procedures, including storage, sanitation, and inventory management .
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry
- Knowledge of menu planning, food safety protocols, and proper food handling techniques
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt to special dietary requirements
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food preparation, preferably in a commercial kitchen or childcare setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass a criminal background and family care safety registry check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
