Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The Supervisor is responsible for meeting or exceeding safety, quality, production, sustainability and employee relations goals. This includes communicating relevant information and major issues to the Department Leader, Plant Manager I, Plant Manager II, and supporting functional areas, while actively working to resolve issues. The Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to ensure area performance meets or exceeds defined metrics and to complete leader standard work as outlined below, while following Company policies. The Supervisor uses Power BI to track on-time performance, identify process improvements, and improve P1/P2 metrics. This role also ensures team members properly follow LO/TO procedures and that qualified team members are certified to operate electric pallet jacks in the Wire Shelves area. The Supervisor must be flexible to work across multiple shifts to build rapport with leadership and team members. Supervisors are also responsible for developing, motivating, and coaching Department Leaders to prepare them for future leadership roles.

At least two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar or related supervisory/leadership position
Basic knowledge of the majority of assembly manufacturing processes in assigned area
Knowledge of company policies and production floor procedures
Strives for continuous improvement and has a team-based mindset
Adequate written and above average verbal communication skills
Ability to be assertive and diplomatic when interacting with employees at all levels
Ability to lead people, obtain commitment from team members, and achieve results though others
Ability to pay attention to detail, think logically by gathering all of the facts, thoroughly check into situations that do not make sense, and rationally resolve problems
Positive attitude, team player, and supports the direction and policies of the company
Proven history of good work performance, reliability, and attendance
Ability to think ahead, set daily and weekly goals, and create action plans to achieve results
Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneously achieve results in the areas of safety, quality, production attainment, productivity, and employee relations/morale
